George Stephens developed a plan for a streetcar suburb on his father-in-law’s (John Spring Myers) farm in 1905. The neighborhood was designed by the Harvard-trained landscape architect, John Nolen, and work was underway by 1911.
Myers Park is distinguished for its winding tree-lined streets, large historic homes and architectural variety. Due to its landscaped beauty, it is one of the most-visited parts of Charlotte.
For those short on time, a simple drive through the neighborhood is worthwhile in order to view the large, historic mansions along the main streets.

Stately brick home nestled on one of Myers Park's most loved streets. High ceilings, large formal and informal spaces. Downstairs features wide center hallway, large dining room and living room, and newly renovated Kitchen breakfast, and mudroom designed by Emily Bourgeois. Bright sunroom is positioned off of the living room. Huge family room with fireplace and gorgeous beams overlooks beautiful private backyard. Additional den provides another space for home office or a cozy tv room. Screened porch off family room with outdoor fireplace. Master and 3 additional bedrooms upstairs, and a bonus room or exercise room with half bath in the basement. Detached 2 car garage. Great backyard with flowering plants to cut and bring inside. Yard is the perfect size and topography for a pool.
